So, what’s been happening?

A lot actually. I know I said I was going to become more regular with my posts. And I will. But the last month has been crazy!

I’ve been putting the finishing edits on the Mental Wellness Collection for Hidden Thoughts Press, reading a new non-fiction book submission for Hidden Thoughts Press, writing contracts, reading submissions for Real People, Real Phobias, another collection for Hidden Thoughts Press, and keeping “Live and Let Undead” alive through the mass of canceled projects at Twisted Library Press. On top of that, I’ve been trying to get my own writing projects finished, and trying to find homes for three stories that fell victim to the canceled projects at Twisted Library Press.

Now, the good news.  The Mental Wellness Collection is nearly finished, I’ve decided to accept the non-fiction book submission, “Live and Let Undead” is alive, with a potential release date of December 2011, just in time for the holidays, one of my released stories has potentially been re-optioned, and another has been resubmitted.  The third is still homeless, but needs a little more work anyway, so it’s all good.

And Anthocon is coming up! Yay! I’m so excited about it.  I’m on two panels and get to do what I do best — express my opinion! If any of you are going to be there, drop by and say, “Hi.” I’m looking forward to meeting new people and new authors. We are going to have so much fun there, what with panels, and book signings, and parties! Check it out at www.anthocon.com

The Wickeds anthology has been compiled, edited and set off for formatting. The proceeds for that one are all being donated to LitWorld.org, a fantastic non-profit agency dedicated to improving literacy through-out the world.  We are hoping for a Spring 2012 release date for that one.

My writer’s group, the Colorado Springs Fiction Writer’s Group, is humming along with their goal of non-profit status. We have it from the state, now we’re just waiting on the Feds. But isn’t that always the case?

Well, that’s about it from me, kiddies. Back to editing for me, and back to your regularly scheduled web surfing for you!

My Interview with Jennifer Caress

A few weeks ago, I was interviewed by fellow horror author Jennifer Caress.  Here’s the link to that interview. I hope you all enjoy!

Been awhile . . .

Whew, it’s been awhile since I’ve been on here.  Busy, busy, busy.  I am in the middle of editing 18 submissions for the Live and Let Undead anthology, due out from The Library of the Living Dead, and getting ready to start on submissions for the Wicked Women Writers anthology.  Then when those are in the final stages, I get to start editing submissions for a third anthology.  It’s a lot of work, but hey, I get to read a lot of good stories too.  So I guess it balances out.

I’ll keep you all updated on when to expect the anthologies to be on the market because I know you all are just waiting to get your creepy, little hands on them!
